Mast cell tumor in the rostral upper lip, 10-yr-old English Bulldog
photo size: small | high
This dog's original mast cell tumor engulfed the upper incisors and canine teeth as well as the rostral lip with submandibular lymphadenopathy, precluding wide surgical excision. Complete remission was achieved with a combination of masitinib and chemotherapy yielding a survival time of >20 mo.
