Quarter horse with external abscess, fever, and cough

Review of Systems

  • General: Good body weight with a large, hard mass over left pectoral region.

  • Skin: Normal except for alopecia over the pectoral mass that is also draining pus.

  • HEENT: Mild ocular discharge OD, mild scleral injection OU. No nasal discharge.

  • Pulmonary: Mild lung sounds with deep wheeze noted on right. Coughed during exam.

  • Cardiovascular: No murmurs or arrhythmias

  • Gastrointestinal: Eating, drinking, urinating, and defecating normally.

  • Genitourinary: Noncontributory

  • Musculoskeletal: Noncontributory

  • Neurologic: Noncontributory
