A 9-month-old male Thoroughbred weanling was found in pasture during the morning feeding with a laceration to his face. The horse lives on pasture with a small herd of other weanlings, and the injury was not noticed the night before. The horse is otherwise in good health and current on vaccinations. Due to the injury, the patient was removed from the pasture before feeding.
