Relief of esophageal obstruction in a horse under general anesthesia. Note the nasotracheal tube is in the left nostril, positioned into the esophagus, and then the cuff is inflated. A nasogastric tube is then inserted into the nasotracheal tube, and the esophagus is lavaged to relieve the obstruction.
