Virulent Newcastle Disease Outbreak in California Spreads to Commercial Flock

An outbreak of virulent Newcastle diseases that began in backyard chickens in May 2018 has now been confirmed in a commercial flock in southern California. USDA confirmed that this is the first such outbreak in a commercial flock since 2003.
