CT, renal mass, dog

The left of the patient is to the right of the image. Transverse CT image of the midabdomen in a dog displayed in a soft tissue window, after intravenous contrast administration, for further evaluation of an abdominal mass. The mass was ultimately determined to be arising from the left kidney; this was suspected on radiographs, but CT allows for further characterization and helped with surgical planning. The final diagnosis was a renal carcinoma.
