Electrical injury, palate, cat

Injury and necrosis affecting the hard palate of a cat approximately 48 hours after the owner discovered multiple chewed electrical cords. After treatment with antimicrobials and analgesics, temporary placement of a feeding tube, and debridement of devitalized tissues, the soft tissue eventually sloughed, leaving a subclinical, persistent oronasal defect.
