Placing the preputial sample in transport medium
The radially ribbed end of the sampling tool (arrow), which contains the bull's preputial smegma to be tested for Tritrichomonas foetus, is introduced into the sampling fluid in the transport pouch. This type of tool is used in the dry method of sampling.
