ECG tracing demonstrating pulseless electrical activity. Note the consistent, repeating complexes and rate of < 200 bpm. This reflects electrical cardiac activity without mechanical cardiac activity (no pulses). As part of advanced life support, PEA is treated with epinephrine or vasopressin every other 2-minute cycle.
