Transverse CT, skull, nasal mass, cat
Transverse CT image of the skull in a felid displayed in a soft tissue window, after intravenous contrast administration. The left of the patient is to the right of the image. A large, ill-defined, destructive left nasal passage mass was identified and ultimately determined to be lymphoma. This may have been identifiable but incompletely characterized on skull radiographs; however, CT allows for complete evaluation and can potentially guide further evaluation, as with biopsies or planning for radiation therapy.
