What to Do

Every day

• Give fresh water.

• Give fresh food, and remove old food.

• Give fresh hay.

• Let chinchilla out for 2 hours of supervised exercise.

• Give 10-minute dust bath.

• Give a small amount of fresh vegetables (about 1 teaspoon).

• Change bedding.

Every other day

Clean food bowls and water systems.

Once a week

Clean and disinfect entire cage.

As needed

Replace chew toys.
