Empyema, horse (radiograph)
Radiographic image of empyema of the dorsal concha as a cause of unresolved sinusitis. The star identifies soft tissue opacity within the dorsal concha of a horse treated for primary sinusitis. Note the soft tissue opacity also present in the rostral maxillary sinus on the same side. Laser fenestration and lavage of the dorsal concha and continued sinus lavage were performed.
