Vascular ring entrapment

Physical constriction of the esophagus by other tissues, especially blood vessels

Boston Terriers, German Shepherds, Irish Setters

Cricopharyngeal achalasia

Failure of the cricopharyngeal muscle (in the throat) to relax during swallowing
